Correlation between Ability to Cope with Sporting Problems and Athlete Engagement

This research was performed with the aim of determining relationship between ability to cope sports problems and athlete engagement students in sciences The study designed according correlational survey causal comparative model. included a total 288 athletes, 81 women 207 men, obtained convenience sampling method. For collection data research, Turkish adaptation “Athletic Coping Skills Inventory 28 (ACSI-28)” “Athlete Engagement Questionnaire” developed measuring commitment sport among athletes were used. Multiple regression analysis used test whether predicted or not. As result analysis, model where significant (p .05), freedom from worry (p>.05), coping adversity (p>.05) coachability (p>.05). In general, it can be stated that sportive is an important factor for engagement. future studies, reasons insignificant results should examined detail.
